In this assignment we were required to find and photograph "letters" to make a word which was relevant to the objects which represented the letters. We were not to use actual lettering, or manipulate materials to form letters. I found my letters in the Waddamana Power Station Museum.

This assignment was "Drawing With Type". We were asked to employ the type-on-a-path tool. The options were to use a famous speech or a nursery rhyme on a picture-path which was representative of the content of the text. I chose Barack Obama's recent historical statement in support of same-sex marriage, and illustrated it with the gay & lesbian symbols.

This assignment required us to use Illustrator to create a map of Tassie (so to speak). It was an exercise specifically designed to demonstrate the use of layers and the Pen Tool. We used an existing map as a template and then on each different layer would trace/create different elements of the map i.e. land, roads, town names, map outline, ocean.
